Inca Jungle to Machu Picchu

Beginning in Cusco city, on the way you will pass through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to admire the its nature and geography; arriving at the open Malaga the adventure begins in bicycle through the Cloud Forest and tour at the archaeological complex of Huamanmarka. From there we will enter a little more through the border of the Santa Maria forest to admire the flora and typical animals of the region. The next day the adventure changes activity with the hike to the route that leads to the Inca citadel of Machupicchu, but still on the way we will pass through places of great interest such as the Hydroelectric and the Aguas Calientes village. The tour of the archaeological complex of Machupicchu will take 2 hours, after which you will start the return by train Aguas Calientes - Ollantaytambo, then we’ll pick you up in a minivan for the Ollantaytambo - Cusco ride.
We will pick you up from the hotel between 6:30 am to 7:00 am by car, and leave headed to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we will appreciate beautiful and typical natural attractions. After about an hour and a half we will stop in the village of Ollantaytambo, for breakfast; then continue by car for about an hour until we reach the Málaga open (4.316 meters asl) where we begin the descent on bicycle through the Cloud Forest. After about an hour and a half we will stop in Huamanmarka, an archaeological center where the professional guide will explain widely about this place; then continue along beautiful fruit fields and rivers. We will arrive at Santa Maria between 4:00 and 5:00 pm, to sleep at a basic lodge.

We will get up at 7:00 am and after an energizing breakfast we will start the hike along the river bank. We will witness on the way a variety of typical animals like birds (parrots, hummingbirds, eagles) and wildcats; also medicinal and fruit plants. Then we will arrive at the small town called Quellomayo, to rest and have lunch. Next there will be a hike for about 3 more hours until we reach the next lodging in Santa Teresa, where we will spend the second night.

Breakfast will be at approximately 8:00 am; those who like to do optional zipline activities (not included), will have time for it and then we will start hiking at approximately 10:00 am towards the Hydroelectric and then to the Aguas Calientes village.
In the morning at 5:00 am, we will wake up and at 5:30 am we will go to the most important archaeological center of Peru, Machupicchu, a hike of approximately 55 minutes, to reach the checkpoint and enter. Once inside we will go to the top of the wonderful citadel to start the professionally guided tour of approximately 2 hours; then you will have free time to enjoy Machu Picchu at your own leisure. After that, depending on your return train ticket schedule, you must go down to Aguas Calientes and the professional guide will help you with instructions so you do not have any problem returning to Ollantaytambo; at the station of Ollantaytambo we wil be waiting to take you back to Cusco city on a minivan.
EXTRA ACTIVITY: For those who like to see birds, in the Cloud Forest can do canopy walkway (reserve in advance), is a suspension bridge in the treetops.
